Nightmare Wolf Virus- Information Log

Virus name: Nightmare Wolf Virus
Spread through: Open wounds; even mere scratches
Time it takes for the effects to set in: transformation begins immediately
Hazard level: fatal
Cure: unknown
Only seems to affect Reploids.

*inected Reploids are referred to as Nightmare Wolves. 
Effect: Reploids infected with this virus transform into dangerous, savage wolves. Their forms allow for standing bipedal like a human or quadruped like a wolf. 

Behavior of infected Reploids: As wolves, Reploids appear to somewhat retain memories of kinships, friendships, and romantic interests. Minor rivalries and dislike seem to be forgotten. The exception to this is if a Reploid had a strong hatred for another Reploid, in which case they will attack each other viciously.
We've observed that the infected Reploids band together in groups to look after one another.
However, when an infected Reploid is faced with a normal, uninfected Reploid, savage wolf instincts take complete control of them and they attack. This is most likely their instincts telling them to infect more Reploids.


*Author's Note- Regarding a possible "cure"*

*POSSIBLE CURE??*-
Sage may have discovered a possible cure for the virus. However, the cure's effects only last a few minutes before the Reploid reverts back to wolf form.

No official, 100%-working "cure" has yet been discovered. However, should an effective "cure" be discovered, while it would revert a Reploid back to its normal form, it will not be able to completely eliminate the virus' effects. The virus permanently corrputs the DNA core, leaving these permanent effects:
-heightened senses.
-wolfish behavior and instincts that surface at random.
-the shapeshifting ability remains, and Reploids that were affected by the virus may slip into their wolf form at random times. more likely to happen when under emotional stress, most notably fury, grief, or stess/anxiety.
-full moons DO cause transformations.
-on the other hand, Reploids who have transformed into wolves at this point have a larger degree of control over their wolf selves, but because the wolf instincts remain, they will have random fits of savageness. the transformations tend to occur much faster now.
-Reploids who have received this "cure" might not be able to pass on the virus. Unknown.
-transformations will also occur if a Reploid is wounded, as a healing reflex. 
-upon receiving the "cure", Reploids will initially act very wolflike. most likely it is the shock of suddenly having returned to their Reploid forms. The length and severity of this effect worsens depending on how long a Reploid has been in the form of a wolf before having taken this "cure."
This is why I say "cure" in quotation marks. It will only lessen the agonizing effects in a Reploid who has it.
